Direct Academic Support
including: GCSE preparation; Catch up support; Literacy including Phonics, handwriting and reading; Numeracy; Reading Recovery.
including: Counselling, Drawing & Talking; Theraplay; DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) Attachment training for staff; Supervision for staff working closely with looked after children.
including: Analysis and advice around strategies to manage behaviour; Assessments; Solution Orientated meetings; Video Interactive Guidance , Thrive assessment and intervention.
Assessment of Need
including: Educational Psychology input; Analysis of Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire; Support around the PEP (Personal Education Plan) process.
Training for teachers, social workers, carers and other professionals
including: Attachment and Attachment Friendly Schools; PEPs, Governor Training.
We also provide: Termly Network meetings and an annual conference for designated teachers; Regular updates on legislation and key documents; support for those new to the role of designated teacher .
For Previously looked After Children
We can provide advice and guidance about admissions, pupil premium plus, exclusions, SEND and other education related matters. Training for schools can also benefit this cohort.
